Edit Me Challenge

You can find the most current Edit Me challenge (as well as past challenges) HERE!

This challenge, hosted by My Reflection of Something and Our Tiny Big Life is all about taking a photo and making it your own with the editing program of your choice! It is also about learning a little bit from each other, and exploring new styles! There are no restrictions (unless specifically stated within the post for the week), but we do ask that you share a little bit about how you arrived at your finished product.

Here are the details:
  1. When you link up, please use your edited photo as the thumbnail!
  2. If you use the mouseover code to show the original when you hover over, you need to either add a copy to the flickr pool (I prefer this option) or email one to me!
  3. The judge for the week will choose the top 3 edits from the entries, and the overall winner of the 3
  4. If you would like to post multiple edits, specify which one is your choice for judging. Only one photo is eligible for judging, and it must be clear which one you are entering.
  5. Don't forget so share your editing steps, or some tips and tricks so we can learn from each other!
  6. Don't forget to use the #editmechallenge tag when you share your posts on Twitter, and be sure to add your edits to the flickr pool for maximum exposure! Edits shared on flickr will be tweeted out throughout the week!
  7. The linky will open at the time of the post on Wednesday, and close the following Saturday.
  8. Winners will be announced the following Tuesday at Our Tiny Big Life.
  9. Don't forget to visit the other participants, and leave some comment love! As usual, the more you participate the more feedback you will get!

Edit Me Guest Judge Information
One of the things we love most about this challenge is the chance to promote other bloggers by featuring them as guest judges! Here is what being a guest judge entails:
  • The guest judge is expected to visit and comment on every entry. (I suggest keeping up with this as much as possible during the week, because the deadline for winner selections is the day after the linky closes!)
  • At the end of the week, you will be responsible for choosing your top 3 favorite edits, and designating one as an overall winner! The email with your selections should include the following: name of blog and blogger with link for each top edit (plus a copy of the photo saved by the blog name if possible), the reason you liked that edit, which edit is the overall winner of that week's prize.
  • Winners should be sent to us at editmechallenge(at)gmail(dot)com no later than noon on Monday! (The linky closes Saturday night, and we schedule the winner post to go live first thing Tuesday morning)
If this sounds good to you, you can submit a request to be a guest judge by sending your name, blog address, blog button and twitter ID (those two are optional) and 3 unedited photos that have not been posted on your own blog to editmechallenge(at)gmail(dot)com. Once we have your photos, we will contact you to let you know possible dates!
